| Merry Christmas... |
So once again I've survived another Christmas. I don't know what my problem is, but its hard to get into it. While it's nice to see my family (especially since visits will become fewer and farther between), I am rather opposed to the commercialization that has taken over not only this holiday, but many others as well. I just find it sickening that we get so busy and wrapped up in the hurry of making sure everything is ready to entertain the guests, that we forget to pause to truly appreciate the gifts that don't have a price tag attached.
While I appreciate things like the Wal-Mart gift card to help with groceries, the dress shirt to help with a more professional appearance, and the many other gifts I received, there's just something missing when things are too busy to enjoy time with the ones you love. Of course, its also difficult when you can't see one of the people you love and really want to be with. At least I know I'll get to see him in 2 and a half weeks.
Well, my brain is trying to do 15 things at once, so I'm going to just let this go as is. Merry Christmas to all... and to all a good night! |

I'm finally a college graduate who's now going in a direction different than my degree. Its stressful at times, but completely worth it.
