To get in the mood...
So sometimes you have something you have to write, but you just can't think of where to start. That's where I'm at right now. Tomorrow, I have a paper due (not a big one) for my Comm. Research class, but I just don't know where to begin. I'm hoping that by writing here I'll be able to get the juices flowing and once I empty my brain of the non-school stuff, I'll be able to focus on what I need to do.

This past week(end) was a whirlwind. To start out (if you're not already aware) PMS has a tendency to make women moody. Add a layoff before you even start a job, and you've got an emotional disaster. As I wrote about the other day, I don't have the time to look for a job. Needless to say, this is stressing me out... and not just a little bit. Add to that weeks of more homework than you have time to give your full attention to, and you get someone whose not able to focus and wastes even more time than she doesn't have.

So, this past weekend didn't start out too great. I spent all Sabbath with my head in a jumble, trying to cool down and think about what happened Friday evening (no... I'm not going into details). All morning, I had been planning on putting on my blades and heading out to the Greenway; when I got home and finally changed out of my church clothes, I found myself so emotionally drained that the thought of heading into civilization made me cry. That was my clue that it was time for a nap.

After waking up from my nap, my best friend arrives and asks if I want to go see "The Holiday." I did something completely out of my normal Saturday night routine of studying and pinching every penny I have, and said yes. So as Amy, our friend Daniel, and I headed to the $2.50 theater to meet her parents, sister, and Adam I realized that as much as I thought I needed to study because of all my homework, taking some time off was therapeutic and a necessity in my life at this time.

After the movie and a good number of text messages, I found myself in a much better mood. I've discovered that sometimes you just need to break loose and let yourself have fun. It truly does wonders for yourself... and in turn, those you love most.
